Yay for Juice!

I have totally jumped on the juicing bandwagon.  I started with having a smoothie with my breakfast every morning with a mix of apple, spinach, and a variety of berries and fruits.  Then I added an in-between lunch and dinner green juice that has apple, kale, celery, cucumber, a carrot or two and little ginger.  I feel great, and have so much energy, no more 3:00 slump and my mood is even better.  Today my blender broke.  Waaaaaaaa.  I don't have a juicer, so I make my afternoon drink in the blender and filter it through cheesecloth.  It's a pain in the bum, but until I can afford a juicer it will have to do.  Anyway, so my blender broke this morning and I can feel the difference.  Maybe some of it is a placebo effect, but regardless I feel way better when I have all my extra fruits and veggies.  By the way I did have a big ol salad this afternoon with this super yummy dressing recipe I found on Pinterest but it just doesn't have the same results.  Tomorrow I am getting a new blender!!!!!!!
Do you juice?

I think I've been thru every health food fad there is...vegetarian, juicing, raw foods, etc. I did juice for a while, back during what the kids call the "Horsefeed Era" and enjoyed it. Now I'm a meatitarian: no sugar, grains, refined carbs of any kind. I think it's about what works for each body, and mine is happy with bacon. :~)

Jan, I agree, it's all about finding out what works best for each body. I'm trying to get to the right balance of veg, meat and whole grain and cutting out refined sugar. The sugar part not so successfully.
A few of my friends are vegetarians and I don't know how they do it, I would really miss bacon.

I love Bacon, but the juice sounds yummy but probably not something I could commit to.

Oh, so sorry to hear about your blender! Hope it gets fixed or you get another so you can keep up with your good juicing habit :) Something I like to mix up is a banana with peanut butter, honey, a teaspoon of cocoa powder and some milk. It tastes just like a shake! But you can feel a bit better about it ;)

@ Jamie, They are really yummy!

@ Heather, happily, my father in law decided to gift a new blender to me, I just need to go pick it up tomorrow. I think the first thing I make in it will have to be the one you suggested, it sounds scrumptious!
